Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 2026

📦 We collect nothing at all — and we never will.

1. Introduction

ZipLayer ("we", "our", or "us") is a client-side JavaScript library and web component that helps end users download and interact with zip files. This Privacy Policy explains how ZipLayer handles your information.

2. Data We Collect

None. ZipLayer runs entirely in your browser. We do not operate servers, and we do not collect, store, process, or transmit any of your files, documents, email addresses, personal information, or browsing data. There are no accounts, no trackers, no analytics, and no cookies.

3. What Happens to Your Files

Any zip archive you open with ZipLayer is processed locally on your device using the browser's built-in capabilities. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing ever leaves your machine. When you extract files to a folder or download individual files, that happens entirely within your own browser.

4. Third-Party Services

The ZipLayer library itself makes no calls to third-party services. If you choose to use ZipLayer on a website that loads other resources (fonts, scripts, or content from other domains), those requests come from your own site's code, not from ZipLayer.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Because we collect no data, we have nothing to share, sell, or disclose. We never will.

6. Security

Your data is secured by design: it never leaves your browser. There are no databases to breach and no servers to compromise.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
